Job description

The Team Manager plays a central role in leading, developing, and supporting IT / Engineering consultants at Amaris Consulting in China. The mission is to empower teams, ensure smooth operations, and maintain a positive and collaborative work culture.

Key Responsibilities

Resource Management : Anticipate workload, allocate resources effectively, and optimize team performance.

Team Enablement : Provide consultants with the tools, information, and processes needed to succeed.

Career Development : Mentor team members, support their professional growth, and conduct performance follow-ups.

Recruitment : Lead end-to-end hiring processes for new team members, including technical assessments when relevant.

Client Interaction : Act as the main point of contact for clients on people-related topics such as performance, well-being, and team development.

Internal Coordination : Collaborate with HR, Finance, Delivery, and other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.

Culture & Collaboration : Promote knowledge sharing, teamwork, and a positive working environment.

Continuous Improvement : Contribute to process optimization, best-practice adoption, and change management.

Compliance : Ensure respect of HR and legal processes at the local level.

Profile Requirement

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant fields.

Background in Engineering and strong interest in people management.

Prior experience in team / people management, coordination.

Excellent command of English and Chinese.

Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and coaching skills.

Adaptable, collaborative, and capable of fostering trust in a multicultural environment.

Entrepreneurial mindset with curiosity and willingness to grow in a fast-paced setting.

Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team : your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris : our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!

Case study : Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.
