The Role

As a Senior Android Developer at AniLive, you will play a crucial role in developing an engaging live-streaming platform specifically designed for virtual streamers and their fans in English-speaking countries. You’ll be responsible for building a global product for VTubers from the ground up, driving the product's development through collaboration with cross-functional teams, and shaping the future of the virtual streaming industry.

You will be responsible for :

Guiding or leading cross-disciplinary dialogs to drive features from the initial concept of our new product to completion.
Demonstrate expertise / ownership in major areas of the codebase.
Collaborating closely with the executive, project manager, and design team.
Mentoring, motivating, and inspiring junior engineers.

Ideal Profile

Ideal Candidate

You have at least 4 years of experience in Android application development, particularly in the digital entertainment sector and emerging technologies like VTubing.

You possess experience in integrating external APIs (server-side) within applications.

You have experience in Google Play Billing.

You are experienced with a team of 3 members or more, especially communicating with product design, product manager, and business development team members.

You have experience using Github, Notion, GSuite, Slack, and Zoom.

You have business-level proficiency in English and Japanese to communicate with the internal teams in Japan.

You have a deep passion for the Japanese entertainment industry, such as anime, manga, gaming, and VTubing—essentially, you must be an otaku
