About the Role

We are seeking a forward-thinking Head of Pre-Development to drive early-stage innovation in ventilation technologies. This role focuses on fume gathering efficiency, anti-burn safety, easy-to-clean solutions, and intelligent features, ensuring breakthrough concepts transition into scalable product solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead innovation in ultra-low proximity suction, negative pressure lock-in, and airflow optimization for superior fume control.
• Develop anti-burn safety features, including temperature monitoring, heat shielding, and user protection mechanisms.
• Drive easy-to-clean innovations using advanced materials, coatings, and grease-repelling designs.
• Integrate intelligent cooking technologies, such as AI-driven automation, smart sensors, and IoT connectivity.
• Conduct feasibility studies, rapid prototyping, CFD simulations, and performance validation.
• Collaborate with engineering, industrial design, and software teams to align early-stage concepts with product strategy.
• Engage with external research institutes and technology partners to leverage industry advancements.
• Build and lead a high-performing pre-development team, fostering a culture of experimentation and technical excellence.

Qualifications & Experience

• Master degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or related fields.
• 8+ years in R&D, pre-development, or advanced engineering, ideally in ventilation or cooktop appliances.
• Expertise in fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and smart appliance integration.
• Strong knowledge of CFD, aerodynamics, sensor technology, and AI-driven automation.
• Proven track record of turning early-stage research into viable product concepts.
• Experience in rapid prototyping, testing, and iterative development.
• Strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
