We support studios worldwide with solutions like localization & functional testing certification testing focus groups and playtesting player support and community management cybersecurity and penetration testing tool development art design game writing GDPR consultancy and voice-over recording.
The Role
As an English-to-Brazilian Portuguese Game Linguist youll be a key part of our localization teamhelping games truly feel right for Brazilian Portuguese-speaking players. Youll translate revise and perform LQA while collaborating closely with developers and localization project managers to ensure linguistic quality consistency and cultural relevance. Your work will help bring unforgettable gaming experiences to millions of players worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Translatein-game text UI and marketing materials fromEnglish to Brazilian Portuguese with accuracy and cultural nuance.
Reviselocalized content to ensure top-tier quality style and consistency.
Perform LQA (Language Quality Assurance)to spot and fix grammar spelling terminology and style issues.
Preserve the tone and voiceof the original content adapting where needed for cultural expectations.
Joincreative discussionsand offer linguistic input to support narrative development and avoid cultural pitfalls.
Partner with theLPM teamto support timelines deliverables and linguistic resources.

Qualifications
Native-level Brazilian Portugueseandfluent English.
2 yearsof experience in game localization (English Brazilian Portuguese).
Strong cultural understanding of bothEnglish- and Brazilian Portuguese-speaking markets.
Comfortable withlocalization toolsandcontent management systems.
Excellent attention to detail and a quality-first mindset.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach in cross-functional teams.
Passion for gaming and awareness ofmobile gaming trends.
Background inTranslation Linguistics or a related field is a plus.
