Job Title: Associate Product Manager – Frequency Control & Timing (Remote: APAC, EMEA)
Department: Product Management - Marketing
Company Overview:
Abracon is a trusted supplier of leading-edge and innovative electronic components including Frequency Control, Timing, Power, Magnetics, RF and Antenna solutions. Servicing world-class companies across the data communication, transportation, industrial, medical, consumer, aerospace, and defense industries, Abracon accelerates customers’ time-to-market by providing unmatched product solutions, technical expertise, and service excellence.
Position Summary:
We are looking for a motivated, early-career Associate Product Manager to support Abracon's Frequency Control & Timing product line, which includes quartz crystals, crystal oscillators, TCXOs, OCXOs, real-time clocks (RTC), and MEMS timing devices. Reporting to the Senior Product Line Manager, you will be the regional extension of the Timing product team — handling day-to-day product support for sales, distribution partners, and customers in your region while building the foundation to grow into a Product Line Manager role. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn product management on technologies fundamental to the performance and synchronization of electronic systems.
Work Environment
The successful candidate will be a full-time employee based in either the APAC or EMEA region, working from or near an Abracon regional office (including Salford, England or Shenzhen, China). A work-from-home arrangement is also available for those further outside the regional office location. The role partners closely with the Senior Product Line Manager and headquarters teams in Austin, Texas, and requires regular overlap with U.S. business hours.
Growth Opportunity:
- Learn product line management directly from a Senior Product Line Manager, with a clear path toward owning product families and, over time, a product line
- Build deep technical expertise in frequency control and timing — from quartz crystals to precision oscillators and MEMS devices
- Work with Tier 1 customers and distribution partners across APAC and EMEA on next-generation designs
- Gain cross-functional exposure to sales, engineering, operations, and marketing in a global organization
- Opportunities for career advancement and meaningful impact in product development and marketing
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the regional point of contact for Timing product inquiries from sales teams, representatives, distribution partners, and customers
- Support the Senior Product Line Manager on pricing and quotation requests, competitor cross-references, and part number recommendations
- Coordinate sample requests, custom part number set-ups, and datasheet and specification requests with engineering and operations
- Support new product introductions by gathering launch inputs, maintaining NPI documentation, and helping prepare launch collateral and sales training materials
- Assist with product lifecycle activities, including product change notifications (PCNs), last-time-buy, and end-of-life communications
- Collect and organize regional market, competitor, and customer data to inform product roadmaps and new product proposals
- Track product line sales, bookings, and design-win activity; prepare reports and presentation materials for the Senior Product Line Manager and leadership reviews
- Deliver product training and presentations to regional sales teams, representatives, and distribution partners
- Relay regional customer requirements and market trends to the Senior Product Line Manager and engineering teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
- 2–3 years of experience in an engineering, applications, field application, product, or technical sales role, with an electronic component manufacturer or distributor
- Working knowledge of electrical circuit fundamentals; familiarity with crystals, oscillators, or clock and timing circuits is a strong plus
- Strong interest in product management and a basic understanding of the product lifecycle
- Solid analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and AI tools.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English; additional regional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, German, French) are a plus
- Highly organized and responsive, with the ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment and work independently across time zones
- Willingness to travel within the region as needed
