Do you have an ear for language and a passion for music?

Welo Data is looking for a Chinese (Simplified) Lyric Reviewer to help us train cutting-edge AI. This role is perfect for you if you're a linguistic expert who loves music and wants to help improve automated translation systems. Your work will directly impact how AI understands and translates song lyrics.

This is a review-only position—no translation or editing is required. You'll simply evaluate the quality and accuracy of machine-translated lyrics from English to Chinese (Simplified)

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess machine-translated lyrics for meaning, naturalness, and contextual flow.
  • Provide quality ratings based on predefined criteria.
  • Identify and flag translation issues, awkward phrasing, or cultural missteps.
  • Maintain a consistent and objective judgment throughout the review process.

Project Details

  • Pay Rate : Approximately $5 - $5.5 / hour
  • Location : Remote work, available to residents in many countries including China, US and Remote
  • Hours : Flexible schedule, with an average of 4 hours per day.
  • Start Date : ASAP
  • Employment Type : Freelance
  • Project Duration : Long-term

    • Qualifications

  • Native-level or near-native proficiency in both English and Chinese (Simplified)
  • A deep understanding of linguistic nuances, idioms, and cultural context in both languages.
  • The ability to maintain focus and attention to detail when reviewing large volumes of content.
  • Prior experience in translation, localization, or linguistic quality assessment is a plus.
  • Bonus points if you have :
  • Familiarity with various music genres and lyrical styles.
  • Experience with online evaluation tools or platforms.
